Living
TreeHouse has a huge selection of renewable, reclaimed and recycled content flooring options: from bamboo to cork and from wool carpet to reclaimed barn wood. We also have flooring experts that can answer all your questions and coordinate your installation.
Reclaimed Wood
Taken from dilapidated barns and buildings, reclaimed wood is available in most domestic species with grades suitable for any interior dècor, from contemporary to rustic. Reclaimed wood is arguably the “greenestâ€ floor you can install. It takes wood out of the waste stream and eases stress on our forests.
Certified Wood
The classic look of a hardwood floor doesn't require clear-cutting natural forests. Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood flooring is available in almost any species and grade - from the contemporary look of black stained maple to the rustic charm of a wormy oak. FSC-certified wood provides responsible options - it doesn't limit them.
Cork
With cork you get the best of carpet and wood. It's comfortable like carpet, easy cleaning like hardwood, and is available in hundreds of styles and colors. Cork flooring uses post-industrial waste from the wine stop industry, and harvesting the raw material does not require trees to be cut down.
Bamboo
Bamboo is a rapidly renewable hardwood flooring material that comes in a variety of colors, thicknesses and styles. Natural Moso bamboo is as hard as oak, but matures in as little as five years. Strand-woven bamboo flooring is up to 2.5 times harder than oak, making it ideal for heavy-duty use. TreeHouseâ„¢ carries trusted brands like Ecotimber and Teragren.
Tile
Tile options are numerous, offering limitless color, texture and style. Tile is easy to clean and an ideal option for radiant heat. We carry ceramic, glass and terra-cotta tiles from several manufacturers. And each is made with recycled content, recapturing beauty that would have gone to waste.
Linoleum
Made from all-natural wood flour, linseed oil, pine rosin, jute and earth-ground pigments, linoleum can easily last 100 or more years. It gets harder over time, which makes it ideal for heavy-use areas.
Wool Carpet
Wool carpet does everything nylon carpet tries to do, naturally. It's fire resistant, stain resistant, crush resistant and looks great as it wears. And there are no synthetic chemicals, just natural color and texture. TreeHouse offers a variety of natural wool carpets, including some made of 100 percent natural fiber that can be composted at the end of their useable life.
Recyclable Carpet Tile
Carpet tiles are extremely durable, come in a variety of colors and textures and allow for creative patterns. They allow you to replace just the high-traffic areas, saving time and money. All our carpet tiles are cradle to cradle, so when they are done serving their purpose, they can be recycled back into a new carpet tile.
Rubber
Rubber flooring comes in several styles and nearly limitless color. Using post-industrial waste from tennis shoes and tires, rubber flooring is soft under foot, a sound and temperature insulator, and highly impact resistant. Rubber and cork mixed flooring brings recycled content up to 40 percent.
